Your life style seems a little busy for a dog. But, you seem to have time for one too. If that makes any sense. You might want a mini schnauzer. They are very friendly need lots of love and attention. But, this dog does have more than a couple problems. Like it's ears get easily inffected and they can have arthritis. They also get over wieght easily too, so if that's the kind of dog you get don't feed it people food.

Another dog you might want is a West Highland White terrier. They are intteligant, playful, small, and love to have all the attention it can get. This dog might need 3 to four walks a day. the minimum three. One in the morining, one when you get home, and one when your done with dinner. This will keep them fit and at the correct wieght. And even better with less energy! You will need to train hard so they have good manners though. This dog doesn't have all that many illnesses. Ear inffection may come along down the road but, not so easily. Make sure to keep an eye out for fleas! Have a fun time!

hmmm...... School, can provide care, needs an easy-to-get-along-with dog.......Jack russel terrier, yorkie, or a pug. here's how I made that decision:

LAb: to big, to loyal, can't be left alone.
Chuaua: To barkative
Basset hound: To lazy

I suggest that you go to an animal shelter and ask the staff what dogs they have that would meet your needs. You can almost always find dogs that are still young (under three years old) and you can get some idea of what you're getting into as far as temperment and energy level. You can see if the dog is aggressive toward other dogs and might just luck onto one that is already housebroken. Breed isn't always a good indication of what dog would work for you because there are such variations in temperment within a particular breed. Pick a dog based upon how well that individual dog would fit into your household regardless of the breed.

Size doesn't make a dog an outside dog either. I had a 110 lb low energy housedog who did fine on a turnout in the yard with the 90 lb housedog a couple of times a day. When they played they played hard, but when they came inside they were calm and quiet.

A "DASCHUND" = would be a pewrfect choice for you !!

they're compact and have loads of energy, dont eat a lot, cant destroy too many things round the house, low maintainance(since they have short hair)

And they're real cudly and don't break easy f and when you throw them around..! which kids your age are prone too....they are very flexible.. and not much bite in them to retaliate either......!

But the only "con" side is you have to watch their weight and not over-feed them..or u might have his belly grazing the ground.....!

A dachshund would be a good idea as this is a small dog and is usually good around humans. But warning, they can be yippee. But so can a beagle.
