I have recently decided to breed mollies, i have a few females in my 50 gallon aquarium, but because I don’t want them just throwing out babies constantly, I want to get a male and keep it away from the females until I want them to breed.

Because our pet store only takes animals and fish from local breeders (that they research thoroughly), they only have 1 male molly in stock.
I have a 10 gallon tank that I’m putting a few guppies in, and I’m wondering if the male would be okay in there. I don’t have any extra tanks,

I have three 5 gallon tanks for my single male bettas, I have a 100 gallon aquarium for my females, I have five 10 gallon tanks for my males with babies, and i have two 30 gallon fry tanks, one for males and one for females.

I also have a 150 gallon tank for my goldfish, and two 30 gallon hospital tanks (that are currently occupied).

I also have 2 other 10 gallons that I’m using for the baby mollies.

My whole house is filled with tanks, and I really don’t want to get another one. So yeah, would my male be okay in a 10 gallon with a few guppies?
How many guppies should I get if I’m keeping a molly in there as well, or should I just get the molly and risk him being very very lonely?

My females are:
3 dalmation mollies,
2 black mollies,
1 yellow dalmation molly,
3 silver mollies.

I already breed bettas and just stopped breeding goldfish, so I know what I’m doing.
I supply the store with all of their bettas, and I used to supply their goldfish.

I MAY buy another male if they come in, but I’m not 100% sure.

but I don’t want any more than 2.
I know that mollies are fine with guppies (i have some guppies with my females), I just want to know if the molly will be okay without any other mollies.

And this is my first time with mollies so I don’t know a ton about them yet.
