I want a kitty!!!!?

My neighbor’s cat had kittens yesterday and I want one so bad! But my sister just got a kitten herself and I already have a guinea pig. I have nearly 0 so I could afford all of the supplies. The kittens are being given away for free. But my parents will not let me have one since we already have pets (a dog,a kitten,a fish, and a guinea pig). I see why they wouldn’t want to have another pet but I am a grade-A student, kind, have no physical or mental limitations, absolutely adore animals, and very responsible. How can I convince my parents to let me adopt one of the kittens?
I don’t plan on getting one until they are old enough and my sister never lets me play with her cat. She gets mad at me when I pick up the kitty.

Show your parents that you could be responsible. Tell them and make a plan. When my sister and i went to new Yorkk, we had t]o save up a lot of money so we showed our parents a page of working out about the cost and how we would earn the money. Tell them that yor sister doesn’t even share her kitten with you. Being really nice and helpful always helps too.

if you already have a kitten, why would you want another one? plus 200 dollars is no where near enough to take care of a kitten, and if the cat only had the kittens yesterday, if you take them away from their mom they’ll probably die..they need to stay with thier mom for two months before you take them away…and you need to get all their shots, and kittens need to eat a lot, and they need constant attention..you should do more research and think it through before taking one, and please please please DON’T take it away from it’s mom before two months.

You may want to first figure out exactly why they don’t want another pet. And even though you’re a grade a student, you may want to prove to your parents that you’re extra responsible by doing all of your chores and things like that.

You sound like a very responsible person. You should be proud of your good grades. Listen to your parents and enjoy the animals you already are blessed with. Save that 200 dollars for college. Before you know it you will be on your own, out of college, and will be able to get all the kittens you want and bring them to your own home. Just take good care of them when you do which I’m sure you will. :)

well $200 isn’t enough.. you’ll have to buy food, a bed, toys, etc. for the cat, not to mention a bunch of medical stuff (declaw, regular vet visits/checkups, neutering, etc.) so maybe offer your parents that you’ll get a job or do extra work around the house?

tell your parents it is better to have 2 kittens, because they will play together and keep each other entertained if you are out.

Remember that a cat will live to about 14-18 years so when you leave home you must take it with you, your parents will probably have this in mind, so you could reasure them you will look after the cat it’s whole life.

Write all of the points you brought up on a piece of paper, including the fact that your sister won’t let you play with her cat, and present them to your parents. Read them out loud to them, and be prepare to listen to their reasons. Don’t whine; don’t cry; just maintain a calm attitude and maybe your parents will see that you are very responsible, and allow you another pet. If they don’t, just accept it and keep being the responsible person you are. Then when another opportunity comes up, they might reconsider and let you have a cat. Remember, you do have a guinea pig already, so spend some extra time with him.

Sorry hun! $200? Lets see.. you will need about $600 dollars per year, and a lot more for a cat’s first year…

kittens are cute but cats are for life! they live for a long time and you have to be prepared to care for it and love it! really think about it! you already have one kitten why do you need 2?

what do you need another kiity for when you’ve got one already? with regards to your sister that she won’t let you play her kitty.. sooner or later she will be fed up with taking care of the kitty so.. you may assume the resposibility! besides $200 is really not enough. Or you may find another pet animal that your folks may consider. good luck! it’s not easy to take care cats.. lotsa cats! trust me.. ive got 3 pet cats before..

start taking care of the dog and the fish without even being asked, hopefully your parents will realize that you are responsible enough.
