My local Dollar Store has a lot of things, but read the labels carefully! things like dollar leashes and water bowls are good, but some of the chew toys, especially the ones with flavoring were made in China and I would not let a dog have them since anything at the Dollar Store is probably some recalled, old, or defective item. I did find a really nice Milkbone chew toy, but it was mixed in with some horrible made-in-china tennis ball toys that looked really bad, like the rubber would disenigrate as soon as the dog picked it up–shop carefully!

Like new owner starter kits? You can get crates, toys, leashes, collars, shampoo, ear cleaner, brushes, etc. at http://www.petedge.com; their prices are very cheap. They sell everything except for actual food.

Walmart, petsmart are two that come to mind. Walmart is generally cheaper overall, but petsmart has a large selection of goodies priced low to high so guaranteed to find what you need.
