My dad has a big dog and started giving her food for her weight and she lost alot of weight from that alone with out having to exercise her alot (she is really old with really bad hips). My neighbor dog was overweight and he gave his dog weightloss pills (didn't know they made that) and that helped alot too with out cause the dog and health problems. If you are already walking him and are looking for additional ideas then maybe a little agility course ( for tiny dogs) is something he migt enjoy. Mosty i would check what he is eating, junk food is a no no. and most foods which have suggestions as to how much to feed a dog of whatever weight seem to need tweeking. usually the suggest far too much, so try cutting out treats and if he doesnt have treats then cut back his meal size, a little. spreading his meal across 2 or 3 smaller meals through out te day will help him not tofeel like heis starving.
