I’m considering pre-vet, then on to vet school. I’m also thinking of studying zoology, but I understand there aren’t many hands-on jobs in that field. What sort of degree would I need to work with rescued animals, in a shelter or something like that? And how would I go about working with fish in, say, a wholesale place that supplies to pet stores and breeds fish? Any input will be helpful. Thanks!

Can i put use this big bag of left over hamster shavings for the bottom of my parrot’s cage? I have a brand new bag of Natural Pine wood shavings and i was wondering if i could start using that for the bottom of my Quaker Parrot’s cage? I read somewhere that Pine isn’t good for them but elsewhere says different? Any experts wanna help me out?

I want to decorate my fish & turtle tanks for Xmas but I can’t find any pet supply places that carry them. Maybe I could go to a craft store & buy a ceramic Xmas tree?

Any suggestions? Maybe a nice snow globe? Then again I guess I couldn’t shake it while it’s in there.

When I changed my parrots cage yesterday he had a bloody stool and after that his stool went back to a regular green and white droping. He has a good diet and is only 4 to 6 years old, what could cause this and will he be fine?
